Privacy Policy

1. Scope and our approach

This policy covers the Sallimlog iOS and Android apps, sallimlog.beside-co.com, and email support. Sallimlog currently has no account system, advertising SDK, cross-app behavioral tracking SDK, or Beside Co.-operated app-data backend.

Car, home-system and appliance records, receipts, warranties, labels, service history, extracted dates, and sensitive fields stay on your device unless you choose to export or share them. Google ML Kit diagnostics in the Android app are handled separately as described below.

2. Information processed by the app

• Camera, photos, and files: used only when you choose to capture or import a document for on-device recognition and encrypted storage.
• Household asset data: names, models, purchase dates, warranty, inspection and service deadlines, and notes are stored locally.
• Notifications: if allowed, Sallimlog schedules local reminders for your deadlines.
• Biometrics: iOS Face ID or Android screen lock returns only an authentication result. We cannot access or store your biometric template.
• Subscriptions: Apple StoreKit on iOS and Google Play Billing on Android handle products, transactions, and entitlement status. We do not receive or store payment-card details.

3. Information we collect

We do not collect app data that is processed only on your device. If you contact hello@beside-co.com, we receive your email address, message, and anything you voluntarily attach so we can respond.

Google ML Kit, used for text recognition in the Android app, transmits device manufacturer, model and operating-system information; app package and version; a per-installation identifier; performance metrics such as latency; API configuration; input and output sizes; feature events; and error codes to Google for diagnostics and usage analytics. Google states that this data is encrypted in transit with HTTPS and is not shared with third parties. Document images, recognized text, and household records are not included in this diagnostic data.

Our host, Vercel, may process basic request logs such as IP address, user agent, and request time to deliver and secure the website. We do not use first-party advertising or behavioral analytics cookies.

4. Purposes and retention

• App data remains on your device until you delete individual records in the app or remove the app.
• Android ML Kit diagnostic data is processed by Google for diagnostics and usage analytics under Google’s retention practices.
• Support messages are retained as needed to resolve the request and disputes, ordinarily no longer than 12 months after our last response unless law requires longer.
• Website logs are processed for delivery, reliability, abuse prevention, and security under our host’s retention practices.
• Where law requires retention, we keep only the minimum information for the required period.

5. Sharing, service providers, and international processing

We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only to service providers as described here, when you direct us, or when legally required.

Vercel Inc. may process website request logs in the United States and other infrastructure locations. Email may be processed in countries where our email provider operates. Providers process information to deliver their services under contractual and security commitments.

Apple independently processes App Store distribution, payments, subscriptions, and TestFlight under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy.

Google independently processes Android app distribution, Google Play payments and subscriptions, and ML Kit diagnostics under Google’s own terms and privacy policy.

6. Security

Supported document originals and sensitive fields are encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Encryption keys are protected by the iOS Keychain or Android Keystore, and you may enable device-biometric or screen-lock app protection.

No system is completely secure. Use a device passcode, keep the operating system current, and protect encrypted export files and recovery codes.

7. Your choices and rights

You can view, edit, or delete app records and revoke camera, photo, notification, Face ID, or biometric access in iOS or Android Settings. To request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of support information we hold, email hello@beside-co.com.

We may request limited information to verify and protect the requester. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

8. U.S. state privacy notice

In the preceding 12 months, we have not sold personal information or shared it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics.

Where applicable, U.S. residents may request access, deletion, correction, limitation, opt-out of sale or sharing, and non-discrimination. Because we do not sell or share for targeted advertising, there is currently no such processing to opt out of. Authorized agents may submit requests by email, subject to verification.

9. Children

Sallimlog is a general-audience household utility and is not directed to children under 13 in the United States or under 14 in Korea. We do not knowingly collect their personal information. Contact us if you believe such information was provided.

10. Automated decisions and tracking

Recognition results and suggested deadlines are user-reviewable assistance, not automated decisions that create legal or similarly significant effects. The app and website do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

11. Changes

If we add accounts, cloud sync, analytics, or other data processing, we will update this policy and our App Store and Google Play privacy answers before or when the new practice begins. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or on the website.
